2025 Eagle Privy American Silver Eagles

Intriguing History

After the 2024 Star Privy, the U.S. Mint followed up in 2025 with a second bullion-finish Silver Eagle carrying a privy mark: a small eagle in flight, set in the lower-right field of the obverse beside Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty. It was struck at Philadelphia without a mintmark, so it is catalogued as 2025-(P), and its reported mintage of 500,000 is a small fraction of the more than 20 million regular bullion Silver Eagles made in a typical year. As with the Star Privy, the first 50,000 coins received special grading-service labels, and early-release examples in top grades quickly became the most sought after.
