1976 Eisenhower Dollar (1971-1978)

Intriguing History

Struck for the nation's 1976 Bicentennial with a special dual date of 1776-1976 and a new reverse depicting the Liberty Bell over the moon, this Eisenhower dollar came in two distinct reverse design types during the celebration, with the details reworked partway through production.
